The Prim Garden

What a wonderful time of year!  Everything is starting to bloom and come alive again!

There's nothing I love more than getting out in my garden and planting those seeds for veggies, flowers and herbs.

Making a primitive garden is so much fun because you can get really creative with things  such as rocks, bricks, even old pieces of concrete.

Here is a pic I took of one area of my backyard.

The vine in the back corner is a rasberry bush.  It comes back every year but you really need to tie it against a pole or fence because it gets very leggy!

Another plant that fills in bare spots very rapidly are wild violets.  Just watch them because they will take over your whole garden!

I planted a hydrangea bush about 5 years ago but was very disappointed when it didn't bloom.  I think it's a variegated kind and the leaves are very pretty with green and cream throughout.

To my surprise this year they finally have buds on them and are flowering!  Here are some pics I took.
