The Primitive "Fall"
Dining Room

I love to decorate my dining room for the fall season.  I found an old wooden sifter in my attic that I use on my dining room table and fill with wonderful fall favorites!  Place a large pillar candle in the middle of your centerpiece (preferably scents such as pumpkin, harvest, apple cider) and then surround your candle with fall leaves of golds, reds, and oranges.  I place small gourds and pumpkins around it with sprigs of bittersweet mixed in and my table is ready for the fall season!  You can even change what you have in the middle of your centerpiece.  How about a wooden apple?

Use a tall clear glass or vase you might have around the house and fill it with fall colored stones or marbles.  Add water about three quarters of the way up and place a floating candle on top! You can also fill a glass jar (any glass container will do) with Halloween candy such as candy corn, harvest mix, or the candy you find with different shapes such as ghosts, witches, pumpkins, etc.  If you have a neck around the glass container, tie some orange, red, and gold raffia around it.

Just remember not to overdo it.  Just small touches of fall colors here and there in your dining room are all you need to make your primitive home feel really cozy.  I just love "Fall"!  Don't you?
