The Primitive "Fall"
Dining Room

Here's a pic of my centerpiece I decorated for my prim dining table.  This is an old wooden tray that I added a spray of prim fall berries and some fall veggies such as corn, squash, etc.  The candle tart warmer is one I got at a yard sale for $1.00.  I also made the mat underneath using left over pieces of halloween fabric I had.

Again, decorating for fall is simply using the fall colors such as yellows, oranges, dark reds and golds and incorporating them into your prim home.

Another place I love to decorate for fall is my fireplace mantle.  The possibilities are endless!  String an array of fall leaves across as a way of filling in bare spots.  Here is a pic of how I decorated my mantle for fall this year!

Use a tall clear glass or vase you might have around the house and fill it with fall colored stones or marbles.  Add water about three quarters of the way up and place a floating candle on top! You can also fill a glass jar (any glass container will do) with Halloween candy such as candy corn, harvest mix, or the candy you find with different shapes such as ghosts, witches, pumpkins, etc.  If you have a neck around the glass container, tie some orange, red, and gold raffia around it.

Just remember not to overdo it.  Just small touches of fall colors here and there in your dining room are all you need to make your primitive home feel really cozy.  I just love "Fall"!  Don't you?
